Motorola Razr 50 Series Set to Launch on June 25, First Foldable with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3

Motorola has just shared the release date for the much-awaited Razr 50 series! This series is likely to include two foldable phones: the Razr 50 and the Razr 50 Ultra.

Before this news, we already had some information about the Razr 50 series. You can find details and pictures of these phones online. Motorola’s post on Weibo, a social media site, didn’t say “Razr 50 series” exactly. But they did say that the “Razr 2024 series” will be shown in June 2025, so it’s a good guess that these are the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra phones.

Earlier, the Motorola Razr 50 was seen on Geekbench, a website that tests how well phones work. It had a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chip inside. The phone will also have 8GB of memory and will come with Android 14 already installed. The Razr 50 will also have fast charging at 33W and a battery that can hold 4200mAh of power. Other expected features are a big 6.9-inch screen that shows things very clearly and smoothly, an extra screen that’s 3.6 inches, and two cameras on the back—one that’s really good at taking pictures at 50MP and another at 13MP.

The Razr 50 Ultra is going to have an even better chip called Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and can charge even faster at 45W. The only thing not as good as the regular model is its battery, which holds a bit less power at 4000mAh. This might be because Motorola wants to make a smaller but still strong top-of-the-line foldable phone. The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is also expected to look nicer than the last model, the Razr 40 Ultra.

Now that we know when they’ll be shown, all we have to do is wait for the event. These phones will be seen for the first time in China on June 25.
