Upon its debut, Xiaomi’s SU7 electric sedan captivated the global automotive community. The sophisticated electric sedan has garnered over 100,000 bookings in a mere six days, propelling the waiting period to seven months. Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, announced that the company will disclose further information about the SU7’s production capabilities and delivery timeline at the upcoming Beijing Auto Show, as reported by Reuters.

Xiaomi Commences Early Deliveries of SU7 Standard and MAX Variants

Lei Jun also revealed that Xiaomi has initiated the delivery of the standard and MAX versions of the SU7 electric vehicle, a full 12 days ahead of schedule. According to reports, sales of Xiaomi’s first electric car have exceeded expectations by three to fivefold. The initial batch of 5,000 SU7 units, dubbed the Founder’s Edition and featuring additional accessories, has begun shipping. The Pro variant’s delivery is anticipated to start by the end of May 2024.

Jun also mentioned that Xiaomi is currently not considering the production of SUVs or off-road vehicles, focusing instead on the SU7.
