Maruti Suzuki has commenced the pre-booking process for the 4th generation Swift hatchback car at a cost of Rs 11,000, as announced by the carmaker on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Maruti Suzuki declared the start of pre-bookings for the 4th generation Swift hatchback car, priced at Rs 11,000. The company has introduced a new sporty design and improved dynamic features and driving experience in the 4th generation Swift.
The Swift model from Maruti is one of the most popular choices among car buyers in India. Since its launch, the company has sold more than 29 lakh units. Customers can place their bookings at Maruti dealerships or through the Maruti Suzuki website.
The company has yet to disclose the prices of the new generation Swift. “The Swift has been a symbol of Maruti Suzuki, constantly adapting to meet the evolving demands of customers. Its large customer base of 29 lakhs and numerous awards are a testament to its lasting popularity,” said Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki.
He further stated, “The Epic New Swift retains its sporty character while meeting modern expectations for environmental sustainability and low emissions. As expected, the next-generation Swift is set to establish new standards in the premium hatchback segment and represent the concept of Joy of Mobility.” According to industry experts, the Swift faces stiff competition from other rival hatchback models like Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Tata Altroz, and Renault Kwid.
On April 10, Maruti Suzuki announced a price increase for the Swift car and selected variants of the Grand Vitara. According to the company’s announcement, the prices of Swift were raised by up to Rs 25,000, while the Sigma variant of the Grand Vitara saw an increase of Rs 19,000. Earlier on April 27, Maruti Suzuki India released its fourth-quarter results for FY 2023-24, showing a significant increase in net profit by 47.8 per cent to Rs 3,877.8 crore compared to Rs 2,623.6 crore in the same period last fiscal year. The annual sales volume of Maruti Suzuki has also exceeded 2 million units.
For the third year in a row, the company has maintained its position as the leading exporter of passenger vehicles in India. (ANI)
